As you likely know, my debut EP dropped on February 23rd and my goodness… it’s been a rollercoaster ride since! The release party took place at Fionn MacCools in Saskatoon, and the turnout was incredible. I’m tellin’ ya… there is NO better feeling on earth than having a room full of people sing your songs with you. If you couldn’t make it, we missed you! Now.. let’s chat about the album. Where do I start? Having something concrete to share with you all, that took years to pull together (I wrote some of these songs 8+ years ago), is surreal. Not only that, but the positive feedback and reinforcement you provided after releasing such a project into the world, made all the hard work and late nights even more worth it. I love, LOVE, every Snapchat, text, or video I get of you rocking out to “Girl Time” in your vehicle, “Last Call” playing on your local radio station, or your kid jamming to “It Don’t Have to Hurt” in their highchair. EVERY. SINGLE. MESSAGE re-ignites the fire to keep going and making more music for all of you. The “Thank-You’s” I have to offer will never be enough, but until I can think of something better…. THANK YOU!
Radio promotion has been a big focus over the last few months, as the title track off the album “Last Call” was released the same day as the album. Ma’ goodness have I put on some miles since! It took some time, but I am finally learning how this whole world of radio works, and I am so grateful for the support I’ve received thus far. As a reference, “Sorry” was picked up by 15 stations across Canada, and ”Girl Time” picked up by 14 stations including 4 feature plays. “Last Call” has reached #88 this week on the Published Mediabase charts and #82 on the Rolling charts, another accomplishment I am very proud of. Where are we going??? Just kidding… I won’t.
Thank you also to True North Country, and Belter Radio in the United Kingdom for featuring my music. Both of these online platforms aim to promote Independent musicians in the industry, and provide resources for connecting with fans and furthering the development of ones’ music career. Now, for the REALLY fun stuff, this summer is ramping up with great performances all over Western Canada. May 6th I’ll be playing the Barett Nelson Memorial Music Festival For Mental Health Awareness in Radisson, SK. Along with a long list of talented performers, this event raises money for Mental Health awareness with all proceeds going to local mental health programs. July 17th – 19th I’ll perform at the Ag in Motion – Outdoor Tradeshow Hospitality Suite, and that weekend take the stage at the 2018 Ag Meet-Up in Dodsland, SK.

Thanks again for all your support, for taking the time to read through this, and for keeping me going! I’ll be honest, I’ve struggling to define my next steps after releasing the EP to the world, and focusing so heavily on its promotion. To write it all out and get a good feel for the many accomplishments made over the past year, has been a great way to reset, refocus, and get ready to kick the worlds %$& for another year.
