Ginelle James is paving her own path and building a fan base that spans the country, as she launches her 4th single to Canadian Country Radio, titled “When the Music Stops”. Working with OCL Studios in Calgary, AB, this new track is sure to draw even more followers, as it reaches the quiet, and sometimes dark places that often accompany periods of heartbreak, self- reflection and loneliness. A complete shift from the fun-loving, girl time songs of 2018.
Last year proved to be a success as James released her debut EP album “Last Call”, with the title track hitting #82 on the Media-base Published chart. Her songs are being spun on stations across Canada, including Saskatoon’s “92.9 The Bull”, Leduc & Stony Plain’s “The One”, Moose Jaw’s “Country 100” and more. The EP creatively weaves lyrics and melodies into her raw, authentic, Ms. Independent sound that is becoming a signature of James’ songwriting.
In conjunction with a prairie province radio tour, notable performances under James’ belt include consecutive years as an exclusive performer at the Ag in Motion - Western Canada's Outdoor Farm Expo, National Anthem and hospitality suite performances at Edmonton's FarmTech, showcasing the CCMA Diamonds in the Rough stage, headlining Saskatoon’s prestigious Angels & Friends Foundation - Halo Gala, and performing an opening act for Saskatchewan’s own Hunter Brothersat CONNECT - The Heart of the Farm Conference. Nominated for a YYC Award in the Country Recording of the Year category during her brief time in Calgary, and securing a permanent spot as intro/outro music on Shark Farmer Radio, SirusXM Rural Radio 147 daily 4 p.m. EST, the diversity and development of this emerging artist show no signs of slowing down.
